Art Week Studio Visits
Visit the new studio of artist Carlos Betancourt and architect Alberto Latorre.
Visit the artist studio and see some of his recent artworks from the new series For Azucena with Amor 2023, as well as other recently completed series of artworks, some of them completed in the Greek islands over a course of several years. Other artworks at the studio include additional sculptural and multimedia artworks from the series On the Edge, the Hopeful Forest (2019-2020) and Landscapes Re-Imagined (2019-2021). The studio includes a separate structure called El Speakeasy, a private and very uniquely decorated alternative space that works as art salon as well as archival library and party room. The studio is located in Little Haiti / Little River and was designed by architect Alberto Latorre in collaboration with the artist.
