These recent towering totemic sculptural artworks continue to explore the artist fascination with objects and the memories embedded in them, while also alluding to the artists attempt to balance his surroundings and experiences. As with previous artworks by Betancourt, the sculptures are constructed and re-purposed from collected objects that have been found at home and through his travels.
